BullerBox began in our living room back in the fall of 2014 when I was heavily pregnant and expecting our little girl, Laura, with Sebastian. One of our couple friends had a small online shop for pet products, and whenever they visited, our dog was spoiled with new toys and treats.
We quickly noticed that things we would never have considered buying often turned out to be our dog's favorite items. Why buy the same boring things month after month when it was clear that variety in both toys and treats was a hit?!
The idea of a box with different toys and treats was born, and our French "buller" gave the name to the box, which became BullerBox.
Sebastian carved (!) BullerBox's first logo into a vinyl record, and then Grandpa could stand in the shed and stamp the logos on the first 22 BullerBoxes sent out on November 15, 2014.
But the living room quickly became too small, so both the kitchen, shed, carport, and driveway were used.
Eventually, we couldn't find more space, so we needed a proper warehouse.
We had never dared to dream about how quickly BullerBox would take off, but in a very short time, thousands of lucky pups became members of BullerBox, and eventually, we couldn't handle everything ourselves despite Laura helping Fie test treats while Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Mads, and Aunt Camilla helped pack until late at night every month.
Josefine and Anna became our first employees. Today, 9 years later, they are still here, and more sweet pack girls have joined over time, faithfully helping us get your pup's boxes out every month.
...and over a quarter of a million plush toys and other toys have been played with since. Tens of thousands of dogs and their loving owners have sent us plenty of pictures and videos of their pups with their BullerBox, and we love each and every one. Yes, the lovely English Bulldog Albert even appeared on Go'aften Denmark on TV2 with his BullerBox to show it off! We are so grateful that you let us delight your dogs every single month and share your pups with us.
This has also made it possible for us to give back a little, for example, we support various animal welfare organizations every year, and over time, we have been able to give out thousands of free BullerBoxes to dogs all over the country. Last year, we supported Dyreværnet with a one-time donation of 75,000 DKK.
